NWJPB is receiving generous support from
all of our communities. We've announced plans to attend
the World Pipe Band Championships in 2008, the first youth pipe
band from Washington State to travel to Scotland since the
Seattle Scottish Boys Pipe Band went and beat the World
Champions in 1969!
Our goal is to help provide an opportunity for
every member to receive travel and lodging for our trip in
August, 2008. To make this a
reality, with our growing band, including beginners and lead instructors, it will take
more than $30,000.00 in fundraising to provide half of the travel
and lodging for the band.
We met with of our
members in May and have nearly 60 people committed to the
trip.
Your support is essential to making our musicians'
goals a reality. Let's leave no musicians behind!
If you would like to help
send us to
Scotland and build experiences our youth will never forget, you
can donate now using a credit card,

A Troop, 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment
Veterans. A debt of gratitude is owed to
veterans far and wide. An extra thanks to Ken, the
proud Grandfather of Grade 4 piper Aaron who started him
on the bagpiping journey that led him to join our band,
as well as his younger sister Amber playing drums...at 8 years
old, she's got a focused look when she's drumming that could "stare the bark off a tree"
but she attracts a lot of attention anywhere the band performs.
Ken is now helping generate support for NWJPB with
his friends who served.
These fine veterans are donating money to the band to
support our mission and our trip to Scotland. Our glengarrys are tipped to you! This PayPal link is
for them and their supporters and will help us identify
their support:
